Working Time Regulations

Under the Working Time Regulations, workers generally have the right to a 20-minute uninterrupted rest break if they are expected to work more than 6 hours during the day.

The calculator is a simple shift-length check. It does not determine whether a break has been taken correctly, whether compensatory rest is required, or whether special rules apply.
