I'm Darryl, a Chartered HR professional with over 30 years’ experience across a wide range of sectors and international organisations.

Over the course of my career, I repeatedly saw how difficult it was for businesses to access clear, compliant HR documentation without relying on expensive external advice or spending excessive time drafting materials from scratch.

That challenge is what led me to create HRDocBox in 2009; initially as a physical “HR document box” containing ready-to-use templates and resources for employers who needed practical support without complexity.

As employment law evolved and digital access became essential, the service developed into an online platform, giving businesses instant access to a full library of HR templates and guidance whenever they need them.

The name comes directly from those early physical boxes of HR documents that were sent out to businesses. While the format has changed, the purpose has remained the same; to make HR documentation accessible, consistent, and easy to use.

What I focus on

My focus has always been practical HR delivery; helping employers handle real workplace situations confidently and in line with UK employment law.

That includes supporting businesses with policies, contracts, and procedures that are clear, usable, and grounded in real HR experience rather than theory.
